Jack in the Box employee stabbed in Modesto

A Modesto Jack in the Box employee is recovering from wounds they received during a stabbing on Monday morning, according to the Modesto Police Department.

Sometime around 11 a.m., calls came in about an assault at the fast food restaurant after an encounter between an employee and an unknown person, police said.

Armed suspect shot, killed after charging Stanislaus County deputies near Turlock

A man is dead after he charged at Stanislaus County sheriff's deputies with a weapon near Turlock on Sunday, deputies said.

Deputies were initially dispatched for a suspicious person report along the 3100 block of North Quincy Road. Citing dispatcher information, deputies said a white man was trespassing and armed with a weapon. It's not clear what weapon the man had.

Possible gun threat prompted large law enforcement investigation at Ceres School, district says

 Law enforcement officers swarmed a school in Central California late Monday morning due to reports of a possible gun threat, officials say.

The Ceres Unified School District said in a statement that they were alerted by Ceres police about a possible threat against Cesar Chavez Junior High School. That school, along with neighboring La Rosa Elementary, went on a precautionary lockdown.

Officials said Turlock detectives posed as a 13-year-old and communicated with two unrelated men online.

73 dogs rescued after animal cruelty investigation in Turlock

 An animal cruelty investigation led to the recovery of 73 dogs, according to the Turlock Police Department.

On Sunday, the Turlock Police Department served a search warrant at three residences in the 400 block of S. First Street in Turlock for alleged animal cruelty and dogfighting. Detectives said the investigation began in early March after Turlock Animal Services expressed concerns.

20-year-old Stanislaus County woman reported missing for weeks, mysterious texts received

 A Patterson woman who has been missing for over two weeks has yet to be found, according to the State of California Department of Justice and Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.

20-year-old Breanna Marie Taylor was reportedly last seen on Feb. 23 and listed as missing on the same day. She is described as having black hair with red undertones, being 5’5 feet tall and weighing 110 pounds, according to the missing person report . Taylor was also reported to have a flower tattoo on the left side of her chest and a nose ring in her right nostril.

Young, single Patterson mom has been missing for nearly two weeks. Family asks for help

A 20-year-old Patterson woman reported missing nearly two weeks has yet to be found, according to her family and the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Station.

Breanna Marie Taylor was last seen Feb. 23 at her apartment in Patterson. The next day, an “unverified number” texted her family saying that Breanna was involved in a stabbing and was hurt. Local hospitals were called, but Taylor was not located, read a Stanislaus County Crime Stoppers missing person flier.

Large illegal marijuana operation and guns seized in Modesto

A search warrant in Modesto led to the discovery of a large illegal marijuana grow on Friday, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) executed the search warrant on a residence on the 500 block of Glenn Avenue in Modesto, officials said. During the search, a large illegal marijuana grow was in operation along with six firearms within the residence.

Turlock Home Raided In Large Motorcycle Gang Investigation

At about 7:00am Wednesday, the Stanislaus Special Investigations Unit and Turlock Police arrived at a residence in the 2400 block of Zinfandel Lane to conduct follow-up in an investigation.

Detectives and officers were there, simultaneously with allied agencies at 11 other addresses outside Turlock, to serve search warrants into a months-long investigation into outlaw motorcycle gang activity.
