CHP: The ‘largest’ drug bust in Merced Co. history

A traffic stop by a California Highway Patrol K-9 officer on Friday led to the largest drug bust in Merced County history, ultimately seizing $10.5 million worth of narcotics, according to authorities.

CHP says around 1:00 p.m. a K-9 officer conducted a stop for a traffic violation northbound on Interstate 5 at the Santa Nella Scales.

Drunk driver arrested after crashing into parked car and being found with narcotics Tuesday night

On Tuesday, April 18th, 2023, at 10:54 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle collision in the 600 block of S Orange St, Turlock, with the responsible driver attempting to flee the scene.

When officers arrived on scene, they found two vehicles involved. The first was a blue 2009 Pontiac Vibe and the second was an orange 2016 Dodge Challenger.

Turlock gas station shooting leads police to major narcotics sales arrest

in crime/News

A shooting outside a gas station last week led Turlock police to a major narcotics bust.

On Aug. 11, police responded to a report of a shooting at a gas station on West Main Street and Tully Road. Shortly later, Aaron Martinez, a 39-year-old Keyes resident, was arrested on attempted homicide charges for the incident, according to a press release from the Turlock police.
