More than a dozen vehicles were involved in a crash along a major artery through Modesto early Wednesday morning.

California Highway Patrol was first alerted about the crash on the Mitchell Road Bridge, south of Finch Road, just after 5 a.m. Modesto Fire crews quickly got to the scene and found a massive series of crashes had occurred.

A Turlock man was killed in Modesto in a solo-vehicle crash near the intersection of Sisk Road and Standiford Avenue in Modesto on Monday morning, according to the Modesto Police Department.

The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Francisco Perez, 42.

Turlock man dies in Stanislaus County crash

 A Turlock man died in a crash in Stanislaus County Wednesday, according to California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. along Albers Road, south of Milnes Road. Two people were in a truck heading southbound on Albers Road when the driver swerved off the road and onto the west shoulder. The truck hit a dirt embankment and turned over.

Student hit by car near Turlock’s Pitman High School

A student was left with minor injuries after being hit by a car in Turlock Monday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the Turlock Police Department said the student was hit by a car near Pitman High School just before 3:30 p.m.

The student was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
