Shah Groceries now open for business

History of business: It’s been more than eight months since Sukhraaj Singh shared his vision of opening an international grocery store in Turlock, and now the doors at Shah Groceries on 2353 W. Main St. have officially opened.

The new, locally owned and operated grocer will offer products from all parts of India, the Middle East and of select Asian countries.

On May 7, Main Street between First and Broadway was blocked off to drivers and filled with nearly 50 vendors as part of The Market, a brand new makers’ market in the heart of Turlock. The minds behind the project are Stephanie Torres and Adrina Silveira.
