Stanislaus County human trafficking operation arrests 77 people, Sheriff’s Office says

A human trafficking operation conducted by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrests of 77 people throughout a six-day effort, the office announced Wednesday.

The operation, part of a statewide effort called “Operation Reclaim and Rebuild,” raided four massage parlors: two in Modesto, one in Ceres and another in Turlock. Evidence collected during the raids was used as a basis to search further locations, according to the Sheriff’s Office’s statement.

Teen suspected of human trafficking in Stanislaus County

A teen was arrested by officers with the Fresno Police Department on Oct. 15 for suspected human trafficking of a minor in Turlock, according to the Turlock Police Department.

The 16-year-old male was seen at the Fresno County Fair by officers who were aware that the teen had a Ramey Warrant for human trafficking of a minor by force, pimping and pandering.

Human trafficking suspect arrested at Ceres motel

A Patterson man previously arrested in Turlock for human trafficking was apprehended again on June 6 – this time in Ceres – for allegedly trafficking the same victim, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.

The suspect, Alex Santana, 24, was in possession of a loaded firearm when he was arrested outside a Ceres motel. He made an attempt to flee from detectives but was quickly apprehended after his shoe fell off.

23 arrested after Patterson police operation in Stanislaus County combatting human trafficking

PATTERSON, Calif. — After a multi-agency effort to combat human trafficking, police in Stanislaus County said 23 people have been arrested.

Patterson Police Service said the multi-agency bust happened on Nov. 6. They worked alongside Turlock Police Department, State Parole, the Stanislaus County Probation Office, Stanislaus County Adult Detention Division, the Stanislaus County Sheriffs Office, Waterford Police Services and Riverbank Police Services.  

"Human Trafficking is a serious issue and everyone should know that we are out actively fighting against it," police services said on their Facebook Sunday night.
