Woman robs grocery store and uses children to aid in her escape Wednesday night

On Wednesday, April 26th, 2023, at 8:30 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported robbery that had just occurred at Walmart Neighborhood Market, 2480 Geer Rd, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they contacted employees who stated that they saw a woman leaving the business with a shopping cart full of unpaid merchandise, so one of them confronted her.

Uber Will Now Deliver Orders From Over 70 Grocery Outlet Stores

Uber continues its push into on-demand and scheduled grocery delivery. Starting Thursday, West Coast customers can use Uber and Uber Eats to order sundries from more than 70 Grocery Outlet locations in California, Oregon and Washington state.

The goal of the pilot partnership "is to provide a reliable and affordable grocery delivery option that works for everyone, no matter your budget," said Oskar Hjertonsson, Uber's head of grocery, in a statement.

Modesto man suspected of using pepper spray to rob people at Turlock grocery stores

A Modesto man was arrested in Turlock for a series of robberies in which he used pepper spray on victims at local grocery stores, police said.

Turlock Police Department officers responded Tuesday to the 500 block of North Soderquist Road on report of a suspicious person spraying pepper spray into the air, according to a release.
