Fail’s Donut Factory sells glazed donuts, strawberry-and-cream treats and custom character designs for birthdays. The shop is on North Center Street, near the Main Street shopping district.

Published hours are 4 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 4 a.m.–2 p.m. Sunday. For a holiday visit or a particular donut, call the shop. Search for the North Center Street location when ordering: there is also a separately listed Fail’s Donuts in Hilmar.
The classics and the colorful ones
The shop’s merchant menu on DoorDash includes mixed chocolate, sugar, maple and glazed dozens; strawberry-and-cream donuts; and character designs such as Spider Man. A half-fancy, half-glazed dozen is another listed option. Availability changes with the day’s selection.
There is breakfast beyond the donut case. The Uber Eats menu also lists an egg, sausage, bacon and cheese croissant sandwich, coffee, milk tea, smoothies and blended drinks.

Local recognition and a Halloween spiderweb
The publisher’s 2017 Best of 209 results named Fail’s Donuts of Turlock runner-up in the donut category. The following year, it took silver in the same category.
The decorated side of the business reached beyond Turlock, too. A 2020 Halloween-donut roundup featured a spiderweb design from Fail’s own Instagram account. It is an early example of the playful designs that also appear on the shop’s ordering menu.
A local dairy connection
Nutcher Milk Company lists the Turlock shop among the places carrying its milk. Ask which bottles or flavors are in the cooler.
